Description

The Teachings of Zoroaster by S.A. Kapadia was first published in 1905. This is a short study of the Zoroastrian religion, and part of the Wisdom of the East series. S.A. Kapadia was a member of the Indian Zoroastrian community, and his personal insights into the religion are invaluable. Zoroaster, also known as Zarathustra, was an ancient Persian prophet and the founder of Zoroastrianism, one of the world's oldest monotheistic religions. Little is known about his life with certainty, but he is believed to have lived sometime between 1500 and 1000 BCE. Zoroaster's teachings centered around the concept of a supreme deity, Ahura Mazda, who represented truth, order, and righteousness. He preached a dualistic worldview, highlighting the eternal struggle between good and evil, with humans having the free will to choose between them. Zoroaster's ethical principles emphasized honesty, compassion, and the pursuit of righteousness, laying the foundation for moral conduct and social justice within his community. His teachings influenced the development of later monotheistic religions and continue to inspire spiritual seekers around the world.

Part of the Wisdom of the East series.
