Shōbōgenzō (the eye and treasury of the true law) - A complete English translation

I have worked for many years, compiling an accurate text and doing research on Dōgen, to promote the study of the Shōbōgenzō among all types of people – priests, students, scholars and lay men and women. The Shōbōgenzō contains the vast and unlimited world of religious experience; and it is open to all if only we look for it.

Now, with this publication of a complete English translation of the Sh ōbōgenzō, Dōgen’s universal thought will becomeu niversally known. Mr. Nishiyama and his collaborator Mr. Stevens have worked very diligently to produce an excellent, readable translation which I hope will be widely used by all those interested in Buddhism.
