MCQs, MEQs and OSPEs in Occupational Medicine: A Revision Aid

An experienced team of occupational and respiratory medicine physicians has brought
a wide range of occupational health and medical experience to the compilation of the
questions. These contributions encompass academia as well as day-to-day frontline
occupational health (OH) practice. The aim of the book is not solely bespoke to the
aforementioned examinations but also acts a revision aid and self-assessment reference text
for those occupational health nurses, doctors and health and safety professionals studying
for other professional occupational health and safety examinations or indeed anyone who
has an interest in this field. Realising this aim is achieved by offering a broad range of
question types and topics thereby combining self-test with revision and learning.
Occupational medicine has established itself as an important specialty and plays acrucial role in protecting the health, safety and well-being of workers globally. It has become
increasingly relevant not least because of the extensive health and safety legislation in place
but also as a result of the health and safety response required to manage occupational
aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The OH specialty has many entering at various levels
of involvement and from multidisciplinary backgrounds. The wide variety of questions
presented in this book encompasses the broad field of occupational medicine making the
book a valuable method of learning, testing knowledge, revision and prompting areas for
further exploration and learning.
